Carrie Haynes M.Ed, LPC

Join me to embrace the power of healing Circles through psychology and soul.

FIND YOUR TRUE NORTH

Hi, I'm Carrie.

After years of experiencing and experimenting with clinical group therapy and grounded spiritual practices, I’m honored to offer you a unique holistic approach that fosters connection, growth, and healing in togetherness.

My Story

From community roots...

Like so many of us who are called to help others, my passion for connection began at a young age. I grew up in a close-knit family in a small town. When life took a turn and we moved across the country, it was the strength of our bond that provided the support and grounding I needed. This foundation of connection and belonging is what inspired me to pursue a career in counseling, and especially working through the power of community.

During graduate school, a group therapy class opened my eyes to the transformative power of process-oriented psychotherapy groups. Creating these genuine connections became the cornerstone of my unique therapeutic approach.

...to the art of group work...

After entering private practice, however, I found a stark contrast between the thriving group culture I had known and the challenges my therapist colleagues faced. Not only was there a lack of training available, but even those who did use group therapy struggled to fill their groups and lacked confidence in their facilitation skills.

This lit a fire in me. I knew the immense power of group work and became determined to empower other therapists to create the same impactful group experiences I had witnessed. So, I began helping other therapists to foster deep connections and healing through group work through my comprehensive trainings and podcast, The Art of Groups.

...I came full circle.

It was clear that so many therapists craved the connection and transformative of group work. But I soon realized that we were still just scratching at the surface of what was really possible.

Driven by my own hunger for a more holistic approach to group work — one that embraces the dimensions of body, spirit, and nature, all while staying true to my feminist principles — I discovered Circlework under the mentorship of Jalaja Bonheim. It completely evolved the way I designed my group experiences and even how I lived my life.

Today, my focus is centered on helping practitioners and guides integrate the power of healing Circles into their personal and professional lives. If you feel called to the synergistic medicine of psychology and spirit, I can’t wait to share Circle magic with you, too.

By healing collectively, we experience the incredible journey of being truly seen, known, and loved. Together, we can create a kinder and more connected world.
